Protocol & Safety Rules
(1) Be punctual. Look forward to your learning in class. (2) If you are late, acknowledge your coach, facilitator & trainer. Bow to her/him. If you have to leave early, again, let her/him know and bow out. Address your trainer as Sir or Teacher (male, female respectively or any other politically correct term) during class hours. (3) If you are really tired, you should stay home and rest. (4) If you have any injuries or open sores, you must stop training and obtain proper attention and treatment from a qualified medical practitioner. (5) If in any doubt on your capacity to handle ANY movement or exercise, avoid and stop. Talk to your friendly trainer. ALWAYS act on the safe side. (6) Behave yourself in class and follow all obvious safety rules. If you are in any doubt, ask. If still in doubt, avoid. Talk to your trainer. (7) Avoid heavy meals just before class but do avoid coming to class very hungry. (8) Strictly no alcohol or any behaviour-modifying medication or drug consumption before class. (9) All graded students must wear VIKOGA's prescribed uniform. (10) Students lacking reasonable hygiene or behaving offensively will be asked to leave the class. There will be no tolerance of any anti-social behaviour. (11) Respect your training partners. Give yourself generous safety margins in all partner practices. (12) You must wear protective gears when it is called for. Check with your trainer. (13) You are forbidden to train with outsiders during class unless expressly allowed and closely supervised by your trainer. (14) Enjoy yourself and put your mind where your body is. |
