Trumps runs a variety of red point events (and one gold point event), featuring pre-dealt boards and hand records.
Pre-booking is often required (for congresses, teams events etc) and always welcome.

There are red point sessions on Wednesdays at 1.30pm, and occasionally at other times.


Event Details
Walk-in red points 1.30pm Wed 15, 22, 29 July.
Trumps Winter Teams 10am Sunday 19 July. Red points, big prizes, $27.50 including lunch.
Australia-Wide Novice Pairs 7.15 for 7.30pm, last  Wednesday in July. Green points only so see the Parties page.
State-Wide Pairs 1.30pm Wednesday 5, 12, 19 August. $12.50/person extra on first day. Hand records with analysis; red points; prizes.
Sunday Gold Point GNOT Sunday 9 August, 10am - 5.15pm. Gold points! $27.50/person includes lunch. Win entry to the Metro Final, 10-11 October at NSWBA.
Walk-in red points 1.30pm Wed 26 August.
State Teams night qual Red points at State level. Win subsidised entry to the final at NSWBA. However, night heat held only when requested by players.
State Open Pairs night qual 7.30pm Friday 4, 11, 18 Sept? Red points at State level. Winners mostly-paid ($10/person co-payment) to metropolitan final at NSWBA on 14-15 November.
State Open Pairs Day qualifier 1.30pm Wednesdays 12, 9, 16 September. Double red points each night. Winners mostly-paid ($10/person co-payment) to metropolitan final at NSWBA on 14-15 November.
Trumps Day Teams 1.30pm Wednesdays 23 and 30 September. Winners to the Perpetual Shield.
Trumps Spring Teams Sunday 27 Sept, 10am to 5.15pm. Red points, big prizes, $27.50 including lunch.
Walk-in red points 1.30pm Wednesday 7, 14, 21 October.
21st Birthday Champagne Pairs Sun 11 Oct; no red points so see the Parties page
Australia-Wide Spring Pairs 1.30pm, Wednesday 28 October. $4 extra includes souvenir booklet, red points of course, and the chance to be part of a national competition with prizes.
November red points 1.30pm Wednesdays.
Trumps Night Pairs 7.30pm Fridays in November; the pair (at most one of whom may be non-member) with the best 3 scores win a place on the perpetual shield.
Walk-in red points 1.30pm Wednesday 2, 9, 16 December. Play any or all.
Xmas Parties Probably Sunday 6 and Friday 18 Dec. Green points only so see the Parties page
Pre-festival Pairs 1.30pm Wednesday 23 December. Win half-paid entry to a festival event.
Trumps Festival of Bridge Regular program ends Thurs 24 December on which day only 945 for 10am Intermediate is held. Closed on Xmas Day. A special program of congress and other events from 26 December 2009 to 3 January 2010. Download the brochure. Many of our regular sessions are held during this time, and all sessions are back to normal from Monday 4 January 2010.
Walk-in red points in 2009 was 1.30pm Wed 4, 11, 18, 25 January. Come to any or all.
Cavendish IMPed in 2009 was 1.30pm Wed  4, 11 Feb. You play as a pair in the usual way but the event is scored at IMPs (teams type scoring).
Trumps Summer Teams in 2009 was 10am Sunday 15 Feb. Red points, big prizes, $27.50 including lunch.
Walk-in red points in 2009 was 1.30pm Wed 18, 25 February. Come to either or both.
Day Swiss Pairs in 2009 was 1.30pm Wed 11, 18 March. Winners to the Honours Plaque. A Swiss event, so the leaders after each score-up play against each other.
Friendly Pairs congress in 2009 was Sunday 15 March, 10am - 4.30pm. $26/person (or $22 for members) includes lunch. Red points and generous non-cash prizes for different masterpoint ranks, but the emphasis is on fun and friendly competition.
Mixed Pairs Qual in 2009 was 7.30pm Tuesday 24, 31 March. Red points at State level. Win entry ($10/person co-payment) to the State final at the NSWBA, 20-21 June.
Walk-in red points in 2009 was 1.30pm Wed 25 March to end of April.
Good Friday Pairs in 2009 was 10 April 10am to 5pm. $27.50 includes lunch, big cash prizes, red points. No other games that day.
Easter Teams in 2009 was Sunday 12 April, 10am to 5.15pm. $27.50 includes lunch, big cash prizes, red points.
Daytime Gold Point GNOT in 2009 was 1.30pm Wednesdays 4 weeks from 29 April to 20 May, Grand National Open Teams qualifying (+$48/team). The Grand Nationals are your only chance each year to win gold points at club level. Win entry to the Metro Final, 10-11 October at NSWBA.
Bridge for Brain Research in 2009 was 7.30pm Friday 1 May. Red points and prizes; $5 extra entry fee goes to the Prince of Wales Research Institute.
Gold Point Grand National Pairs in 2009 was 10am to 1pm, Saturday 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 May (normally will be best 3, no subs). This new event, first held in 2008, is for players with fewer than 300 masterpoints (or in 2009, anyone below Life Master) as at 1 January, yet offers gold points. Normal card fees ($8/$10) plus $10/person on the first day. Final 20 September at North Shore BC.
Trumps Autumn Teams in 2009 was Sunday 24 May, 10am to 5.15pm. Red points, big prizes, $27.50 including lunch.
Australia-Wide Autumn Pairs in 2009 was 1.30pm, Wednesday 27 May. $4 extra includes souvenir booklet, red points of course, and the chance to be part of a national competition with prizes.
Night Gold Point GNOT in 2009 was two Tuesdays 7.30pm 2, 9 June. Grand National Open Teams qualifying. $24/team extra for a great teams event with lots of gold points!  Win entry to the Metro Final, 10-11 October at NSWBA.
Worldwide Pairs in 2009 was 7.30pm Friday night 5 June. $13/$15 includes the world entry fee.
Trumps Day Pairs in 2009 was 1.30pm Wednesdays in June (3, 10, 17, 24 June). Top Trumps pair (at most one of the pair may be a non-member) to the perpetual shield.
State Open Teams Day qualifier in 2009 was 1.30pm Wednesdays 1, 8 July. Double red points for each win. Winners paid to metropolitan final at NSWBA on Sun 20 September.

Trumps Festival of Bridge

The Trumps Festival of Bridge runs from Saturday 26 December 2009 to Sunday 3 January 2010. (Note that Trumps is only open in the morning on 24 December and is closed on Christmas Day 25 December. The regular Trumps program resumes Monday 4 January 2010.)

Some of our normal duplicates are also held during the Festival. See also New Year's Eve, Gourmet Pairs etc.

Nine different events, catering for players of different levels, with pre-dealt boards and hand records. Almost all feature red points. Prizes include over $4000 in cash, plus over $1000 in non-cash prizes. Directors include Matthew McManus, Nick Hughes and Derrick Browne. For details, see below or download the brochure.
